Mission Statement
The TUPEX-7 mission aims to demonstrate Highly-Integrated CubeSat Side Panels (HISPs) can be used to develop a picosatellite bus with a very favorable payload-to-volume ratio by utilizing each of the components in operational scenarios applicable to satellites, including angular rate determination, detumbling, slew maneuvers, and communication with a ground station.
Mission Objectives
- Development of FFU bus including low-cost HISPs.
- Development of a low-cost SDR transceiver.
- Pass qualification campaign.
- Launch of TUPEX-7 hardware.
- Demonstration of the capabilities of HISPs in an operational environment.
- Demonstration of three-axis ADCS.
- Characterization of actuators and sensors in a space-like environment.
- Demonstration of simplex communication using an SDR transceiver.
- Recovery of FFU data storage.
