Rocket-Borne Equipment
The Rocket-Borne Equipment (RBE) sits within the Experiment Module – a cylindrical section of the REXUS rocket in which the experiment is fully contained. The function of the RBE is three-fold:
- Secure the FFU prior to and after launch.
- Enable telemetry from the FFU and video downlink to the ground station via a connection between Rocket-Borne Equipment Electronics (RBEE) and the REXUS Service Module (RXSM).
- Eject the FFU from the REXUS rocket once the ejection altitude is reached.
